Planned Discharge Form
In support of the pollution prevention and watershed protection programs, the planned discharge procedures and corresponding form facilitate staff, contractors, and projects on campus to ensure that discharges are routed to the appropriate system (storm or sanitary sewer) or if necessary hauled off campus and disposed of properly.
The planning for a discharge must include the following considerations: quality of planned discharge, location of discharge (storm drain manhole, sanitary sewer manhole/cleanout, landscaping, off campus facility), capacity of system and flow rate accommodated.
The Planned Discharge Form enables project staff to obtain approvals for each component mentioned above to ensure that project and campus compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
